muttom beach
This beach is situated in kanyakumari. muttom is a village in kanyakumari district of the tamilnadu, It is a well known beach with more rocks, and also with awesome scenery at evening time, The major occupation of the people in muttom is fishing. More than hundreds of people used to visit daily, The beach is also known as sunset point. It is located near 16km from capital nagercoil. It is approximately 75km from Trivandrum airport. There is a lighthouse, which was build by british empire. More than 99% of peoples are christians in that village. Most of the people are educated enough minimum 10th std. Muttom has a primary school namely (st john's primary school) In 1003 AD Raja Raja chola celebreted his birthday here. It has a beutifull lighthouse and they collect a charge rs 10 for adults and rs 3 for students under age 12 If you come to kanya kumari dont ever forget to eat pazha roast , which is made by banana and all purpose flour.
